This week I have been collecting imagery of autumn leaves, backgrounds and textures to use in a project I'm developing around photographs I've taken of a ballet dancer as the character Giselle.
The first act is set in Autumn and Giselle wears a blue and white dress. Since blue and orange are opposite on the colour wheel, they make for a pleasing colour scheme so the pictures in this series from Act 1 will be blue and gold toned.
First - here are a few pictures from the dancer shoot - in their raw state, ready to be blended with autumnal imagery.
The local common is one of my favourite places to escape into nature. Even though the weather is cold and we are already in December, there are still some very bright autumn colours.
The red dogwood is my favourite of the bare winter plants.
Back home, I used the macro lens to shoot leaves close up, some separated to add to a scene and other soft and blurry to use for backgrounds.
