There are many different options for hairstyles for dance audition photoshoots. Buns for ballet come in a myriad of styles from the super slicked back, high classical bun, to the contemporary donut bun or the messy bun. Check out our PINTEREST BOARD which has a huge selection of ideas and tutorial on different ballet bun styles.

This week, I'm sharing a youtube tutorial on how to make a French Roll. This is only one of the methods. The French roll, also called French Twist or French Pleat is great for wearing to auditions, for ballet photo shoots and to give a Neoclassical look. It is very elegant and elongates the neck.

Here is a link to a video my daughter made with her friend, demonstrating how to do the hairstyle.
